MAA works with volunteer leaders in cities and regions where large numbers of Mizzou graduates live. Each group sets its own meeting schedule, but most chapters share the same goals: welcome new alumni, support students, and represent the university in the community.
The association’s home base sits on and near campus. Activities often tie to homecoming, faculty lectures, student send-offs, and tours of campus landmarks such as the Columns and Memorial Union.
Eastern Missouri hosts one of the largest alumni populations. Common programs include young professional mixers, scholarship fundraisers, and watch parties when the Tigers play in the SEC.
Western Missouri chapters focus on career panels, internship introductions, and joint events with other university alumni groups in the metro area.
Volunteers in the Ozarks organize smaller gatherings that still draw steady attendance, especially around athletics and family-friendly service projects.
State capital alumni often host policy-adjacent networking lunches and campus advocacy days for legislators who graduated from Mizzou.
Southeast chapters connect graduates who studied journalism, education, and agriculture with regional employers and school districts.
Alumni clubs in other U.S. cities and abroad help graduates who never return to Columbia full time. These groups may meet quarterly, host virtual coffee hours, or coordinate trips back to campus for reunion weekends.
Large employers in finance, healthcare, and media employ many Mizzou graduates. Chapter boards often partner with career centers for résumé reviews.
Growing alumni populations in Texas and the Southeast host outdoor socials and family picnics when weather allows.
Recent graduates receive targeted communication about leadership training, board openings, and discounted event tickets when programs are available. Student organizations sometimes co-host panels with alumni who work in their intended field.
Chapter rosters and officer emails change each year. The MAA website lists current contacts, meeting notes, and sign-up forms for interest groups such as young alumni or industry networks.
